2. App Features

PriBox is an iOS digital vault providing:

  • Password management and generation
  • Encrypted storage of photos, files, and notes
  • Secure contacts stored via SwiftData
  • Disguise entry options to protect privacy
  • AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption
  • Completely offline operation

3. License Grant

3.1 Limited License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal iOS devices.

3.2 Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Modify or create derivative works based on the App
  • Rent, lease, sell, or distribute the App
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Master Password

You are solely responsible for managing your master password:

  • Set a strong master password and keep it confidential
  • Update it periodically
  • Do not share it with others
  • Enter it in secure environments only

4.2 Data Backup

You are responsible for backing up important data:

  • Create backups regularly
  • Store backup archives securely
  • Verify backup integrity periodically

4.3 Compliant Use

You agree to use the App lawfully and respectfully:

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Do not store or process illegal content
  • Respect others’ privacy and rights

5. Data Security

5.1 Encryption

PriBox uses AES-256-GCM encryption and iOS Keychain to protect your data. However, you acknowledge:

  • No encryption technology is absolutely unbreakable
  • Protecting the master password is essential
  • Lost master passwords cannot be recovered

5.2 Data Loss Risks

Potential risks include:

  • Device damage or loss
  • Forgotten master passwords
  • Uninstalling the App deletes all data
  • System updates may affect functionality

6. Disclaimers

6.1 Availability

We aim for stability and availability but do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted operation
  • Error-free functionality
  • Compatibility across all devices or iOS versions

6.2 Security

While we use industry-leading security measures, we do not guarantee:

  • Absolute data security
  • Zero risk of data leakage or loss
  • Prevention of all unauthorized access by third parties

6.3 Third-Party Content

The App may reference third-party content or links; we are not responsible for such content.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

8. Updates

We may release updates to improve security, performance, or compatibility.

Important updates may be communicated via in-app notifications, App Store release notes, or website announcements.

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. Note that uninstalling permanently deletes all data.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, use the App unlawfully, or harm other users or our interests.

We encourage resolving disputes through good-faith discussions. If unresolved, you may seek relief in a competent court according to applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notifications, App Store notes, or website announcements. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
